The Dragon Takes What's HisBy: Marcy Jacks
Blaze loves a good fight. A dragon warrior of fire, he carries the flame tattoo beneath his eye with pride. He also is a lover of women and men, and spends his time with them accordingly.
However, several months back, he met someone, someone amazing and fun and they spent the night together. Before a spell was cast on him to make him forget all about it.
Now his mate has returned, a light casting warlock, heavily pregnant with a dragon child, and in hiding from his coven.
Blaze doesn’t know what to think of this. He remembers nothing of Zack, not kissing him, and certainly not making love to him. And yet, he can’t believe how good the man smells, and Zack is definitely pregnant.
And he smells so good it’s unbelievable. Blaze wants to take Zack into his arms and kiss every inch of his body, but can he trust the warlock who betrayed him?
Blaze loved to fight almost as much as he loved to fuck.
The two went hand in hand if he really stopped to think about it.
A rush of adrenaline, a pleasurable physical activity that, if done right, left him breathless and trembling by the end.
Fighting was one of the best ways to release adrenaline, and fighting the Dog Catchers, or the annoying warlocks, was a thousand times better.
Really, it was almost like killing or beating on robots. Guilt-free blood when it came to punching out the people who were responsible for plotting the murder of his kind or, in the case of the Dog Catchers, plotting the kidnapping and torture of the omegas.
And Blaze had just enjoyed a good fight not even an hour ago, which was why his knuckles were bloody and why there was a drink in his hand as he surveyed the bar.
It was some kind of singles night. He wasn’t sure why he’d come to this bar in particular. He’d never heard of it, never been inside of it before, but tonight he’d wanted something different from his usual drinking hole.
The women were gorgeous in their tight little skirts and jeans and loose tops.
The men looked just as good, the tough guys in their leather jackets and the smaller, as well as the slimmer, twinks who were giving Blaze a certain look he knew all too well.
Right. He basically had his pick of the litter. Even some of those macho-looking guys were eyeballing him, as though they wanted him to get the hell out of here, but he could tell by that look in their eyes what they were thinking.
They didn’t really want him to leave, and if he got any of them alone, it wouldn’t take much before he had them bent over the bathroom sink, fucking them in the ass so hard they’d be eagerly searching him out the next time he showed up.
Not that there would be a next time.
Blaze didn’t always consider himself to be the love ’em and leave ’em type, but being a dragon warrior did make any romantic connections a bit difficult.
Which was why he was shocked when the pretty boy sitting in one of the booths in the back pulled himself out of his seat and walked over.
The guy had been staring at Blaze for the better half of an hour, all huddled up in his oversized coat. Winter was coming, but Jesus, it wasn’t that cold out.
Either way, Blaze was stunned the man had pulled together the confidence to walk up to him.
He was cute and everything, and he might look even better if he didn’t have that exhausted air about him, but he still walked over to Blaze’s stool.
Blaze nodded and smiled. “Hi.”
His first thought was that it would only be appropriate if he were polite when he turned the man down.
Except, now that they were sitting so close to each other, the smell of the man got to Blaze in a way he never in his life would have seen coming.
He smelled good. Better than good. He smelled like something familiar, something Blaze needed to get naked and put his cock inside.
“Do you…recognize me at all?”
Blaze frowned, yanked out of his thoughts by the question. “I think I’d remember if I’d met someone as cute as you.”
He reached out and touched the man’s arm, just wanting a quick feel to know what it was that was drawing him to this man.
The sudden heat brought on by that small touch made the hairs on Blaze’s arm stand straight.
It’s him! It’s him!
His instincts called to him, called to Blaze to recognize that this was someone he’d been missing for a long time.
